Biography

Alexander (Sasha) Evginnavich Filippov paints in the open air nearly every day, regardless of weather. He has been on the Fine Arts and Graphics faculty at the Kursk Regional Teaching Institute for over twenty years. Philippov's works have been included in several art publications, including the catalog for the 4th International Association of Pleine Aire Painters and the 4th International Symposium of Cultural Affairs in Poland. His art is in permanent museum collections in Belgorod and Starry Oscol, Russia and in private collections in Russia, Poland, and the United States.
