Celeste McCollough

Following more than two decades of working as a lawyer in the field of business dispute resolution, Celeste McCollough pursued her art education through the time-honored master/apprentice model. She has worked as Marc Chatov’s apprentice since 2010. Celeste also studied figure drawing extensively with Atlanta artist, Ben Smith. Celeste has taken workshops with Casey Baugh, Albert Handell, Bill Davidson, Margaret Dyer, and Greg Biolchini.

Celeste paints in a modern realist style, and her paintings are typified by a sophisticated use of color. She paints mostly in oils, but works also in dry media, including graphite, charcoal, and pastels.

In 2009, Celeste founded the TupeloStudio Painters, a community of growth and artistic exploration, who paint from life and exhibit in the Atlanta area. She is a founding member of The Brushwork Society, and she is an invited member of the Atlanta Fine Arts League. Other associations include Women Painters of the Southeast, Oil Painters of America, the Portrait Society of America, and the Atlanta Portrait Society.
