Michelle Marra

Michelle Marra was chosen to participate in the inaugural publication of Art Folio, a curated list of the world's most exciting artists, in 2020, 2021 & 2022!

Michelle sees in swaths of color and light. She is inspired by the great Abstract Expressionists from the late ’40s and early ’50s: Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Lee Krasner, and Helen Frankenthaler, just to name a few. Her art is about taking color and creating a joyous feeling. Oftentimes she starts with very few premises, such as color and mark-making, to drive where she wants to focus next. In 2019, she won the People’s Choice Award at the juried exhibit show held at Coral Springs Museum of Art, in Coral Springs, FL.
